Montage Resort in Laguna Beach

On memorial day, we decided to visit the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. I hadn’t been there in a while and this time I brought my camera. When we first got there, we got a couple mojitos at the bar in the lobby then proceeded to the balcony that overlooks the ocean, pool and resort. Ever since the first time I was here, I thought that it reminded me of a resort I stayed at in Cabo San Lucas.

The sun was hiding behind the clouds but it still made for a great shot.

This last photo was taken right before they asked me to stop taking photos. What I find interesting was that they stopped me when I was on the public walk way. Too bad for them, I already got the shot.

Far East Movement and DJ E-Man’s birthday bash at Avec

Friday, May 28 2010 was a crazy night at Avec. DJ E-Man and Brass Monkey spun a couple of sick sets while everyone got down on the main dance floor. Mercat took over the House room all night. After DJ E-Man’s set, Far East Movement took the stage and performed “Girls on the Dance Floor” and “Like a G6.” They had so much energy and hyped the whole place up. The Graff Lab in Los Angeles

This past weekend, I spent some time at The Graff Lab in Los Angeles with a couple friends, my camera and boxes full of paint. While they threw up their pieces, I worked on my tan and took photos of them throughout the process.

When they were done, I had the chance to go around and take photos of the art that was up on the walls, floors, pretty much everything.

If you have never been here before, this place is pretty big and their is a great idea behind it. Basically, when we walked in, there was a sign in sheet and a donation to get some wall space and you are good to go. They even had a covered area where people were showing off their b-boy skills.

Quoted by my friend Al, “The Graff Lab is a place where artists can come together or by themselves to express their art without having to worry about the cops or gangsters interrupting, stealing paint or even getting jumped just for being a writer.”

Refresh Newport Beach Yacht Party Sundays

We all had a great time at the yacht party, Refresh, in Newport Beach on Sunday.

We had JRoc, DJ Cesar G, Big J, DJ Deone and Armin rocking the boat with non-stop house music all afternoon. For anyone who wanted brunch, they had a plenty of food for everyone. The yacht had 3 floors and 2 full bars. It’s safe to say we had more than enough alcohol on the yacht.

I haven’t been posting much to my blog lately so I finally decided to start doing a photo of the day. This one was actually chosen as the photo of the day yesterday on Discover Los Angeles under the heading “4/28/2010: LA’s Newest Resort”
It was my first time there and we just happen to get there in time for the sunset. This is the view that you see right after you get through the main entrance.
